Ralph Ottaviano is a third generation commercial artist who spent his youth learning his craft at the Brooklyn Museum and Manhattan's MoMA while summering in Southampton, NY.
He enjoyed swimming, clamming, musseling, crabbing, boating and fishing with his family through his years at university.
The New Jersey shore then became his sands of choice. It was during this time that his bud 'G' tagged him with the Rock Lobster nickname; because of his dark complection from May through September.
Years of beach houses, a mutual appreciation of music, cold beverages, golden sand and the sweet smell of salty air, bonded his friendships and led him to meet Mrs. Lobster.
Together they enjoy traveling from P-Town, Sag Harbor, Spring Lake and Cape May to the OBX, St. Simons Island, Florida's Treasure Coast and Key West.
Rock Lobster now wants to share his experiences and love for the beach life through art that celebrates our east coast spirit.
